Searchlight, NV & Cottonwood Cover is where I spent my time outdoors as a kid. The desert will always have a place in my heart. This painting is inspired by a specific photo I took in Searchlight when I was visiting family. I went on a walk to clear my mind since I was grieving heavily from my grandma passing months prior. She would hang humming bird feeders in her yard and seemed to always be connected to nature. A humming bird joined me on a walk when I took the photo and was in between the Joshua trees
